ABOUTÂ REGIONAL BUSINESS WOMEN CONNECT EVENTS
Â
The idea for the Regional Business Women Connect Events was floated one hot summer's day in December 2022, by two business buddies (Donna Hann & Courtney Morrison) who recognised a lack of local events that catered for women in business at a time of the day that suited family responsibilities.Â
AÂ plan was hatched to bring together local women in business on a regular basis and to foster a space that felt supportive, empowering and inspiring! To help women build a strong, successful business, find time for themselves, opportunities for professional development and to dial down overwhelm and avoid burnout.
By facilitating mini business education sessions, inviting opportunities for networking and by building connections with other like-minded women, our vision is that running a business feels a little less hard and a lot more fun!
About Donna
Co-Founder of Regional Business Women Connect Events
Over the years, Iâve worked with hundreds of regional female business owners, leaders and their teams to step into their potential and master the (often) messy middle of business growth.Â
As a certified high performance coach, leadership specialist and strategic thinker, Iâve empowered my clients to change their habits, reshape their mindset, grow their business skills and reach high performance in their lives, businesses and workplaces.Â
And I have the experience of starting, growing, and selling 3 successful regional businesses. If you're a Gladstone local, you might know me as the founder and previous owner of Dance Kix (cira 2021).
Iâve created and facilitated structured workshops, courses and the Regional Business Womenâs Membership.Â
đ¨âđŠâđŚâđŚ I'm a wife and mumma
đ If there's live music playing, I'll be dancing (and singing)
đ¸I love sipping on a cheeky cocktail or prosecco!
But enough about that..
Bottom line... itâs safe to say Iâve âbeen there, done thatâ and canât wait to help you do it too!
About Courtney
Co-Founder of Regional Business Women Connect Events
Through experiences and insights practicing Human Resources Management in Industry, Community and Not for Profit organisations for over a decade, I couldn't help but be called to action on a deeper question - How might authentically caring for the wholeness of people positively influence engagement, performance and untapped potential?
What I observed:Â
-
"nice-to-have" statements about valuing people and valuing each other not being backed
-
people consistently functioning from a place of survival and burnout
-
unintended tension created by jumping to assumptions and tangled communications and relationships
-
heightened levels of anxiety and uncertainty moving into, through and from change
What I found and research suggests, our ability to rethink and care for wellbeing at the levels of me (individual), we (teams) and us (organisation) through both practical and strategic action is more within our reach.Â
I am on a mission to co-create measurable difference putting personalised content flavoured with the latest in positive psychology, wellbeing science and positive change at the fingertips of people who are ready to thrive more consistently.
